The Challenge:

Private label retail brand company sources goods from 50+ suppliers in several countries.  They had multiple payment terms and methods which had become increasingly difficult to manage.  The company had the benefit of excess cash which they were seeking for better than money market rate returns.

The Solution:

The company worked with Seabury TFX to develop a program to utilize its excess cash reserves to discount payments to their suppliers.  The program was deployed on top of an existing supply chain management system.

The Results:

The deployment was light and required minimal IT involvement.  The suppliers were receptive and the program gained high adoption. This provided a high return on excess cash for the company, and allowed it to help the cost basis in it’s own supply chain by helping the suppliers with their funding needs.
